Skin bug using Spine 3.5.18
Hi!
We have encountered a serious bug when updating Spine editor from 3.4 to 3.5.18 version. If you enter Setup mode and change the skin of a Skeleton, all attachments related to skins become invisible and it is not possible to see them again. If you change skins while running an animation, it changes the skins correctly (unless you have triggered the bug in which case, as I said before, attachments become permanently invisible).
The same file runs perfect if we downgrade to version 3.4, but now we have some files that cannot open with 3.4 because they have been saved with version 3.5
Is there any solution to this?
Thanks in advance!

Hi. Have a same problem. I create issue on github for this bug Skin bug using Spine 3.5.18 · #135 · EsotericSoftware/spine-editor.
What exactly is the problem? For example, I open the goblins project, change the skin in setup mode, and it works as expected. Same with goblins-mesh and other projects that use skins. Could you explain the steps to take to see the problem using the goblins project, or post or email a project with the problem? contact@esotericsoftware.com Also a screenshot of your Spine window might help, in case it is related to the views you have open, tree filters, etc.
BTW, when you save, Spine stores a copy of your old project files in the backup directory found in the settings.
Reproduced the bug. It seems it only happens when switching to a skin where images have not been attached to the placeholders yet.
We'll have a fix out for it quickly. As a temporary solution you can duplicate you skin instead of creating a new. Duplicating a skin will mean that none of the attachment placeholders will be without an image and won't be hidden when switching skins.
I hope this helps
I have the same bug. Your temporary solution does´t work because I´m not trying to create new skins and duplicate them. The bug messed the skins the were already done.
Fixed in 3.5.19! Available now.
Sorry for the delay, it was a lot trickier than it might have looked.
It seems our problem has gone!! Nice work

Thanks. That helped. But now in Spine 3.5.20 if you enter Setup mode and change the skin of a Skeleton, some off skin placeholders becoming turned-on. It happens only when switching to a skin with empty skin placeholders.
good
vzlomvl, ahh crap. I see it. Working on it...
Fixed in 3.5.21!
Is this here part of this bug?
I just updated to 3.5.22. We use skin slots to make our character have shadow on the right or left side, but sometimes the shoulder goes so far in the middle it doesn't have any shadow in both cases. So I switch from the skin placeholder to a no-shadow attachment that is outside of the skin slot. This worked in 3.4, but now the image is invisible. Should this be like this?
What the ... reproduced, investigating...
Alright, this is fixed in 3.5.23. Sorry for all this turmoil. We missed a bug before the release and fixing it has turned into a whack-a-mole situation as this part of the application is very complex (despite it looking so simple!). Not to jinx things, but I think it's solid now.
Bad news again
I'm using this thread because I think it's related to the same bug. Now (using 3.5.26) when we try to mesh an attachment assigned to a skin, the editor crashes. It works normally with attachments that aren't related to any skin.
Hope this won't be a headache for you
Ah, sorry about that. It's fixed in 3.5.27, which we'll have available today.
