Thank you for your feature suggestion!
Current Workflow
You can already navigate between the preview view and the dopesheet/graph view, though it works in the opposite direction from what you're requesting. When you select a key in the dopesheet, if the dopesheet is locked, clicking a key will select the corresponding item in the viewport or tree, making it easier to modify.
Your Suggestion
Your proposal to click a preview track (with a modifier key) to have it appear in the dopesheet or graph view would create a nice reverse workflow. This would allow you to quickly jump from a preview track to editing its keys, which could definitely streamline the animation process.
Workaround
For now, you can:
- Right-click an animation in the preview view to select it in the tree
- Use
ctrl+A (cmd+A on Mac) in the dopesheet to select all keys in a row when a key is already selected
- Enable Play current animation in the preview view settings to automatically preview the active animation as you work
This is a thoughtful suggestion that could improve the workflow when working with multiple tracks!
