Using Spine to drive environment parallaxing
I've been working on some art for a game environment and thought I would show you how that looks after a little work.
I apologize for the poor quality I actually never intended to post anything about it here on the forums, but people on twitter seem to think its pretty cool.
I use FFD on the background cliffs to distort them instead of just moving it like regular 2D parallaxing.
Hope you like it and can maybe use the idea.
Cool.
I wanted to do the same, but in Unity, I chose to do the 2.5D route through Blender.
I started with painted assets and then kinda reverse-UV mapped them onto flat or strategically bent shapes that extend into the Z axis.
It's a bit closer to what Blizzard did with Diablo 3's painted, parallaxing enviro assets.
But I think using Spine has some extra advantages if you get creative with it.
So Beautiful, I would love to get a tutorial or something on this! It's very convincing for me to upgrade to the Pro version
