[ Materials ] Z Spacing values are extreme

Hi guys

I got a question that's been on my mind whenever it comes up.. but never bothered asking. Till now. :nerd:

I'm not sure if I'm using the z spacing settings correctly. I find a value of -0.001 works best for the characters. Anything else and the body parts either are spaced out too much or clip into each other.

I've never used the entire left side of the "time line" for the past 5 years.

Is this the way we're supposed to be use the z spacing? Why does the "time line" offer those values? :think: :wounded: :upsidedown:

You are right that very low values like yours are most likely used when it's not set to 0. Unfortunately, there could be use cases (e.g. using a different unit scale) where a larger spacing is required, which is the reason why we set the slider's range to -[0.1, 0]. Otherwise users would require to change the code just to be able to enter a higher value. We could perhaps come up with a more user-friendly way to quickly set some commonly used values and still allow using the whole range.
