I wondered if there's been any new developments on the best/easiest way to add new parameters/variables to the dynamic material instance (MID) made by SpineSkeletonRenderer.
I can't create a MID for Spine as I would with a flipbook? That leaves adding a parameter to the SpineSkeletonRenderer component with C++, yes? For example I'd like to add a float variable to represent health which changes the material as characters take damage. What's the best method for this currently?

I found the blueprint node for what I wanted. It is in Rendering>Material in blueprints. Thank you dev for implementing this feature for spine runtime ue4. 🙂
Might I suggest it would be a good idea to mention these material nodes in this part of the documentation http://esotericsoftware.com/spine-ue4#Skeleton-Renderer-Component
