  • Export Bug: Missing Attachment - Both 3.6.53 and 3.7.87

Dear Esoterics,

I've been using Spine for about nine months now, and this bug is a new one for me:

  • The skeleton has four mesh attachments: A 'day' version of two bushes (left and right), and a 'night' version of the same two.

  • Once the 'day' versions has been bound, weighted, and animated with bones, their slots were duplicated, and the duplicate attachments were replaced with 'night' versions.

  • Color tweens were then used to fade-out the 'day' versions, and fade-in the night versions, while the bone-mesh animation continued uninterrupted.

  • For some reason, while the animation plays perfectly within Spine, only one of the two 'night' versions is visible in the export, as seen through the Skeleton Viewer.

  • All four attachments are present in the export's PNG atlas.

  • The project was animated using Spine 3.6.53, but was opened with and exported from Spine 3.7.87, with the same results.

Any help with this bug would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

Hello jonathanb,
Could you possibly send us the project to contact@esotericsoftware.com mentioning this topic, please?
Do you experience the same problem when testing the animations in the editor using the Preview view? Preview - Spine User Guide

Hello Erikari,
I apologize for the late reply, and I've sent the project in question by email.
I followed your suggestion, but there was no difference between the animation in the Preview window, and the Edit view.
The problem still persists in the Skeleton Viewer, though.

Thanks for any insight you can provide.

Hello Jonathan,
Thanks for sending over the project!

It is good practice to avoid inserting spaces in the file names exactly to avoid this kind kind of problems. If you remove the space from the file name of Left .png and correct it also in Spine, your project will display it correctly in skeleton viewer as well once you export! There are other files in the project with the same problem. Make sure to remove all the spaces and correct the paths also from the other files and everything will be working again!

Hello Erikari,

Thank you very much for looking at our files - I must admit embarrassment at overlooking something so basic.
Since the animation worked fine in the Spine editor, I didn't think to look at the file names.
I'll make a point to review my file names in the future.

Thanks again for your help!
